War, love & tough decisions: ‘The Nightingale’ by Kristin Hannah

The Nightingale, by Kristin Hannah The Nightingale is a beautiful story of bravery, familial bonds, love and loss set in World War II. The story alternates between the narratives of two sisters living in Nazi occupied France.  Isabelle and Vianne are not one bit alike; one stubbornly brave but lonely and the other wholesome and kind, but meek. Welcome to 52 Ideas in Northern Ireland!

My name is Bronagh, this blog is all about sharing ideas for weekends in our beautiful ‘wee country’.

The idea came to me one very wet, lockdown day. I was yearning for the things we (me and my other half) could do when the rain was finally off and potentially what else we could do when we are less restricted by the COVID pandemic.

It was then that 52 Ideas came to me. One idea for each weekend of the year. It seemed like an easy and fun idea to try!

Each week I will research a new place to visit in Northern Ireland and share what we got up to. Where we went and what was great. I’m hoping to show off some of the lesser known spots so you can add to your list of places to visit.

I love planning and 52 Ideas gives me a great reason to research and plan upcoming weekend trips to look forward to and share with you.

I’m thrilled that you have stopped by and hope you enjoy the unfolding ideas  😊
